Stylish vs fashionable

There’s a definite difference I think.
I see women who look good but I would say are fashionable or on trend vs some women who seem to be effortlessly stylish.
id love to be one of those women 🤣
They are usually tall. I always think it’s harder to be stylish when you are short.

what makes someone stylish vs fashionable do you think?

Style is dressing for you, and wearing what suits you.
To me, style is well cut, nicely fitting clothes. Creating a timeless look that doesn’t date. Fashion is fun, but it dictates what we should be wearing now “to be in fashion or fashionable”. Although fashion can still be stylish, if it is a look that works for you.
The two are interchangeable however, the most stylish are those with taste and elegance and aren’t “followers of fashion”.

Nothing 'doesn't date'. Jeans and a blazer? Depending on the cut if the jeans and blazer they can look really old fashioned and dated or really chic. Won't date as fast as say neon or prairie but they will still date.

Stylish oriole always have an eye to what's on trend

Don’t really agree with you but this thread is so subjective and it’s all about different opinions!
My 2005 Chanel blazer still looks current and looks amazing with jeans. I always get compliments when I wear it. It’s nearly 20 years old……!

Before they became fashionable I saw a girl wearing patterned dungarees a different patterned t-shirt, a patterned jacket and pattern doc marten type boots. And bright pink hair, should have looked awful but she didn't. That's style.

I thought that Chanel blazer was an old school blazer that'd been through the wars. Gets my coat.

It’s totally fine @GettingStuffed my thing isn’t your thing and there’s nothing wrong with that. Like I said it’s subjective. I dress for me, I get lots of compliments but not everything is for everyone. Thank goodness!
What I will say is that, the very same jacket is now one of the most sought after Chanel jackets of all time and keeps going up in value. One sold for 3x what I paid for it not long since and you’d expect to pay around 10k for it now, so at least not everyone agrees with you 😂
