Not really sure what happened to my eyebrows but they are both sparser and longer, and generally unruly.

Any tips? I fill them in but it isn’t enough. They seem to be growing forwards like antenna!

I’ve been having mine laminated for about a year. They use a brow dye and a solution that keeps them in place and then they wax them. Very clean and polished look. Lasts about 6 weeks.

Mine are basically none existent now, I always had lovely eyebrows, I missed them. I know due what I have and draw them on. If anyone has any experience I'd henna brows, I'd be interested in hearing.

Birchtrees · 08/05/2023 14:57

I dye mine with Eyelure . I also brush them upwards and trim them with nail scissors. They certainly aren’t what they were though. I always had thick brows that needed daily plucking. I do them about once a week now!

MimiGC · 08/05/2023 15:22

Mine are still there, but every bit of colour has gone out of them. Funnily enough I haven't gone grey on my head!

WeightInLine · 08/05/2023 16:17

Thanks for the replies.

@BlueKaftan how much does laminating cost/how long does it take?

I had no idea how expensive older beauty maintenance was going to turn out to be.

I'm 60 and been dyeing my sparse eyebrows for a decade or more. Nothing seemed to hold any colour, but I've recently tried Just for Men (moustache and beard) and the difference is amazing.

Yvetty · 08/05/2023 17:36

I’ve lost most of mine due to alopecia. I could cope with the hair (on my head) loss but when my eyebrows started to go I was gutted. I had great eyebrows.

glad I’m in vogue though!! Thanks lightlypoached!

HappyMe6 · 08/05/2023 17:44

I’m going to try just for men ( moustache and beard ) thanks for that 3catsandcounting

Use an eyebrow clear gel to shape. Try to let them grow for a while and then go for a shape. Try Rapidbrow from Amazon. It has really worked for me.

Gatekeeper · 08/05/2023 18:24

mine have definitly thinned out but the ones remaining are about an inch long and stick up like moth antennae!

BestIsWest · 08/05/2023 18:38

Yes, what is it with the extra long ones? I have a few of those.
I’m going to try the Just for Men too. I’ve been using the Schwarzkopf eyebrow tint but finding it washes out too quickly.

TheOldLadyOfThreadneedleStreet · 08/05/2023 18:42

Relieved to hear it’s not just me with the weird long eyebrow hairs, which won’t lie down smoothly. I’ll try that Rapidbrow, thanks Norma

Frieda12 · 08/05/2023 22:40

I have non existent eyebrows now due to chemo and drug induced menopause but I’m loving the Mac brow gel in Thunder as it’s a nice colour and actually does boost my brows

TrustPenguins · 09/05/2023 14:21

Watching with interest...

Burnamer · 09/05/2023 14:25

I second lamination. Costs about £60 (not London) and takes about 45 mins.
get a lvl lash lift whilst you’re there too!

AntoniaMacaronia · 09/05/2023 14:30

I used to use clear mascara to keep my eyebrows in order but I'm rocking the Denis Healey look now, drastic measures are needed.

FatAgain · 09/05/2023 14:31

I use a sharpie 🙌

Blossomtoes · 09/05/2023 15:00

I plucked mine to extinction in the 80s and they’ve been a work of fiction ever since. Oddly I only have untameable hairs in the remains of the left one - and that side of my face has aged far more than the right. It’s all very odd.
