Magic Cream - is it?

Anyone seen any difference with using charlotte tilbury magic cream? I had a little pot and while it was nice and good under makeup has anyone actually noticed a difference with long term use?

Nope. Just buy Nivea in the blue pot. It’s the same.

Someone on here who loves the stuff will get frothy as the suggestion but I didn’t rate it at all.

I didn't rate it either. Nice scent but certainly not worth the money. I find clarins products much better.

It's not the same as nivea in the blue pot - it's a different texture.

Yes I'm wondering if it's all smell and no trousers

According to the ingredients on the website it has peptides, and vitamin c & e and hyaluronic acid, which is pretty decent for a moisturiser. They can make the skin look plumper and more hydrated.

However, I would argue it's far too expensive for what it is, and you could get similar ingredients in much cheaper brands like the Ordinary or Geek and Gorgeous.

Also I would recommend you use a retinoid instead of or as well as for better results over time.

@Farmageddon Thank you!

Illyooon ceramide cream is much better in my opinion .

Revolution dupe is called Magic Cream, try that? I like it!

Midgeymoo12 · 07/05/2023 22:51

I also love the Revolution dupe!

Sisisimone · 07/05/2023 22:54

I've only tried the CT magic eye cream but was really impressed with that so would imagine the face cream is good as well.

The Nivea in the blue pot is so thick, just sits on top of your skin. I think you'd have to have incredibly dry skin to use that. Smells nice though.

MaltedCow · 07/05/2023 22:55

The Revolution one sits nicely under make up, I hate the smell though it smells of too much fragrance.

Oakiedoakie · 07/05/2023 22:58

Got the magic cream and eye cream as a present. I thought the eye cream was good, the magic cream did nothing for me and hated the smell.

Snowatfoxcottage · 07/05/2023 23:22

Magic cream suits my skin but any moisturiser is only acting on the surface layers of the skin. Tret is what makes a real difference.

AzureBlue99 · 07/05/2023 23:36

The Revolution dupe is very good.

Nolosomi · 08/05/2023 00:51

I have it & it goes does absolutely nothing! Thankfully I didn’t pay for it. I use it as a hand cream now 😂 - it really is an overpriced basic product.

BeenThereTooo · 08/05/2023 05:36

I didn't like it at all. Threw it in the bin.

februarysunset · 08/05/2023 05:42

I really like it but the price point is far too high. I would say good alternatives are Lumene Arctic Hydra Care or Glossier After Baume.

Thank you that's really helpful

I quite like it. It's the only moisturiser I've used that keeps the Tret peel at bay.

The Revolution dupe is absolutely nothing like it in terms of texture or fragrance, but a perfectly ok moisturiser in its own right. Nivea and Astral aren't anything like it either. The closest I've found in texture is Olay Ultra Rich. But the fragrance is not the same.

If you like it and can afford it then crack on.

CeriB82 · 08/05/2023 09:32

I want to try it but the price is out of my league.

i have Primark Prep & Perfect for £4.50 (aka bobbi brown) and i love it!!
