Lightweight jacket with jeans?

Hi,

I live in flared jeans/boot cut with converse or superga. Current style is wool boyfriend coat but I'm looking for a more summery coat but which would go with jeans. I love the utility style but not sure I can pull off double denim? Any tips for nice summer coats?

I bought this recently, and the material was lovely and it was well made. Unfortunately, it didn't suit me personally so I sent it back, but Hush refunded me within a few days.

I'd say it would, I only tried it on though - like I said I sent it back as the shape didn't suit me really.
I would have liked if it had a drawstring in the middle to give me a bit of a waist. But the material was very nice.

AuntyDolly. I really like that. Are the shoulders dropped? Would you size up or down if you’re between sizes?

I have a utility-style cotton jacket (quite stiff cotton so it looks structured) from Baukjen a few years ago. It looks great with jeans

Zara do some great oversize shackets at the moment. Lots of colours and fabrics. My current fave is a beige denim one which I wear with jeans

My go to outfit in the spring/autumn is flared blue jeans and a jacket/shacket/linen shirt, all of which have a bit of structure but not too much, I've got khaki, white, beige, pale grey, even black. Look on Vinted or in charity shops, linen mix is good. Underneath I wear a black cami or v-shaped vest. Nothing tucked in!

I think different colour denims are fine, it's more the heat issue I find, which is why I prefer the shirt/soft jacket look.

@Kyse that's really nice though with my colourful tops, I think I need something plainer

What do we think about double denim? I'm now down to considering shackets, bombers and utility
