Bridesmaid Dresses

I’m looking for some advice about nach bridesmaid dresses. I’m getting married in the summer and I’m not sure what colours I would like. I have four bridesmaids. They are all of different shapes and sizes. I chatted to them all individually to see what they would feel comfortable with and it seems there is at least a consensus with the colour - navy. I’m happy to go with what they want but my only concern is my fiancé and his groomsmen will be wearing navy suits. I’m concerned that if the dresses and suits are a different navy that it will be awful in the pictures. Has anybody had the same and it turned out ok. I’m looking for reassurance or suggestions.

Isn't navy a specific shade of blue? I'm not sure they can be all that different - very dark blue? If I'm wrong, I'm not sure a shade or two out is going to make that much difference.
I'd be more concerned about timing if you mean you're getting married this summer and you still have to buy and fit 4 bridesmaid dresses

Thanks for replying. I thought navy was a specific shade, but even the different navy bridesmaid dresses we were looking at have ranged from dark blue to almost black, but all labelled as navy. One of the consultants said to me that sometimes the navy in the suits is different to the navy dresses, which is why I’m questioning it.

Can't you take a swatch from one of the suits to shop with you?

It won't look awful, they wil tone in. Dresses and suits are very different. Although you would hope a place selling dresses could get a match in colour across a few styles
