Electric razor before IPL?

Does anyone know if the shave you get with an electric razor is close enough to allow the IPL to do its thing?

I usually wet shave but today remembered I have a shave function on my epilator and gave it a go. It’s not bad but not quite as close as a wet shave.

will this be ok for using my IPL machine?

it takes me ages to shave my full legs in the shower and I’m usually in a rush in the mornings so being able to use an electric razor at any point of the day would make it easier to keep up with the IPL discipline.

(I have visions of doing this on long calls while working from home 🤣)

Did you ever try this @PeriwinkleForever I would love to try IPL but I can't wet shave as my legs get really itchy straight afterwards so dry shave with an electric razor. I'm worried it wouldn't be close enough and the hairs/skin would burn.

Great news. I bought an epilator at Christmas but nearly all the hairs grew back ingrown so don't think it is going to work for me. I did love the week hair free though before the ingrown hairs started to hurt.

Electric shaver before IPL is absolutely fine. I really don’t think it needs to be a very close shave. My IPL seems to work fine when I have stubble.
