How often do you get a hair cut if you have a bob?

Just got my hair cut - £70. I really like it but I can't afford £70 every 6 weeks, not on hair. If you have a bob how often do you get it cut? What do you do with it as it grows out?

I have a cut every 6 to 8 weeks. I go to a hairdressing college and I have never had a haircut that I wasn't happy with, it just takes longer than a normal salon .The teacher is always around to check the cut and sort it if there are areas that are not up to standard. I started going to the college years ago when money was tight and I have carried on even though I could afford going back to a normal salon .I rather allocate the money to something else.

Every 6-8 weeks but I’m extremely lucky as I live in the NE and only pay £25 for a fab cut and blow dry. My hairdresser is an amazing cutter.

5-7 weeks. Depends on what I am doing. It's a short bob though. I think if you've got longer then chin length you can push it further.
It is annoying to have to so frequently but peri & stress has done a number on my hair so it really benefits from a trim to stop it becoming straggly and highlighting the thinner patches.

6- 8 weeks depending on the growth rate at the time, but I need colour at that point too, so the tim8mg depends on the roots.
If I did my own colour I could stretch the cut to 8 or 9 weeks ( shoulder length)
