Where to shop (clothes)

I used to love warehouse & as a back up oasis. Ever since they went to boohoo they have changed & I can find very little there & the quality isn’t the same (I also don’t agree with boohoo practices so try to avoid them/their brands).

I am 38, 5 ft 3 and a size 8….I get occasional bits from M&S and fat face but find them a bit boring. I like a slightly alternative/“rock chic” type of look & am not much into the current 90s trends (did it 1st time round!). Where can I shop!?

American Vintage

Free People

Ganni

Massimo Dutti

Zara

Only Free People is avowedly ‘alternative’ but with all of these you could construct the look you want from what they stock. The first three are above the price point you’ve indicated - but buying less but better is never a bad strategy.

M&S! Never bought anything there for years as I thought it was for old people. Asked my friends where to go and everyone said there. Took myself off the other day and got a lovely couple of things - half the price of next too!

I like a similar style and recently I've bought and been very happy with jeans from Mint Velvet, shirts from M&S (I never thought I'd see the day but have to admit they have really nice stuff lately!) and dresses from Sugarhill Brighton and Hush. I like H&M too.

Thank you very much everyone-some great suggestions here! Am really pleased to find some more options 😊

Agree re M&S-I used to walk through it occasionally but never paid much attention to the clothes, then increasingly found myself stopping as I’d notice something I liked.
