Summer vs Winter wardrobe

I've seen a lot of people over the last few days wearing more summery clothes, tea dresses, summery shoes, light jackets. We're in the NW so although it a tad warmer it isn't hot. I've swapped my winter coat for a lighter one but that's about it.

My 'summer' wardrobe usually consists of a lighter coat/blazer, swapping boots for ballet flats/trainers and maybe a top instead of a sweater. I don't have a summer and winter wardrobe that I rotate like others seem to as I'm naturally a cold person and live in jeggings and DM style boots.

What do you do in summer to change up your look? I'd love some summery dresses/skirts but usually end up looking like Mrs Merton or freezing cold!

I have summery dresses, but I'm having some very depressing issue with serious bloat ATM so I look pregnant in dresses if I'm not careful!

I am switching my trousers for lighter colours and will do the same with tops. Also, I've put away my big, chunky winter boots and am favouring loafers ATM

I'd say my overall 'look' is still the same.

Top half the same - just add/take off cardi/shrug if needed
Swap jeans for linen trousers
Swap DMs for trainers

I wear a limited range of colours so easy to look layer and de layer
Though I do spend a lot of time on my allotment looking like a total scruff - the birds and the foxes don't mind

Here in the north east it's still so cold I'm wearing gloves everyday on the dog walk and very much still in winter clothes! So fed up of these grey skies and cold wind.

In summer I switch to cropped jeans, denim dungarees with a vest top under with sandals, Barrel leg jeans and trousers rather than straight leg as they look better with summer shoes and are usually a little cropped. I'm not one for dresses unless it's really warm.

I can't wait to wear my sandals again and get out of thick wooly jumpers and winter coats..

I definitely have a proper summer wardrobe but it’s too cold to get it out yet!

Also think it’s too cold just yet but a like a nice midi skirt with a nice top and denim jacket
