What happens at the "blow dry bars" you see in department stores?

Just that really!

I have a big night out coming soon, and I'm thinking of booking in at a blow dry bar to save time... they don't wash your hair, right? Just make it look like it's been blow dried?

I think the clue is in the title :-D They wash your hair and then blow dry it - straight, big and bouncy...whatever you prefer.

They wash and blowdry you hair normally. i think you can go in with dry hair and get GHD curls in some.

Really? I presumed they didn't wash hair as I never see sinks in them?
