Are they comfy? I'm normally a Birkenstocks kinda gal but considering the DMs. I live in my boots and find them very comfortable but I know a lot of people don't. I have very long narrow feet...

Comfy once worn in (like the boots) but I’d try on a few styles to see what fits you best, before you commit to buying any. I’ve got Clarissa II & Blaire sandals and Myles Brando sliders, all in the same size but they fit different over the foot. For example Clarissa are the tightest ones & gave me blisters when I first wore them, Blaire are a bit looser & the Myles sliders have buckles so obviously they’re easy to change.

I love mine though and feel like they go with pretty much anything, work for day & night etc. Plus good quality like the boots!

I have a pair of leather Voss with a slight platform sole and they are amazingly comfortable, very light and bouncy and can walk all day in them. I have wide feet so a different set of challenges, but mine are adjustable in three separate places so if you choose a similar style, the width shouldn't be an issue. I think some styles (Blaire etc) are less forgiving and not very adjustable, and I have seen people talking about needing to break them in so perhaps a harder leather too.

The only downside of mine is that the sole is a bit visibly worn around the edges as the jagged edge of the sole has worn off - it's not terrible though.

I've had two pairs of the Blaire sandals, they've not needed worn in they're pretty comfy, I think because they're a little more generous than some of the other DM sandals.

I second the DM Voss recommendation. So so comfy, from first wear.

I have Blaire and are really light and comfy, but they do come up big so size down..... I'm normally a 6.5 and a 6 fits well.

I have Blaire's and I haven't managed to break them in yet. Bought end of last summer, wore them once and they hurt my feet a lot.

I have narrow feet too.. maybe that's why.

My feet are on the wider side so I can see how it may rub narrower feet. Are yours vegan? I've also heard that vegan ones don't soften as well as the leather ones.

I’ve lived in my Voss sandals for the last two summers. Really comfy from day one and so light despite looking heavy. They seem to go with everything so I’ll definitely get a new pair when these look too tatty.

LadyLump · 02/05/2023 15:07

I've got the Blaire's and Clarissa II, both of which are really comfy. I have quite wide feet and they fit really well

LadyLump · 02/05/2023 15:08

Only thing is I've got the Blaire's in patent leather and they are so much stiffer and harder to break in which made them more painful to start with. They're a lot better now but I don't think I would get patent again

@MaltedCow mine are learher.

I think I just need to bite the bullet and wear them around the house with thick socks!
