What shoes would you wear with this dress?

I am over the moon as I managed to bag myself a bargain dress. I saw it in a shop a couple of weeks ago and really liked it, saw the price tag (£165!) and didn’t even try it on. Then a few days later the same shop was having a sale and the very dress, in my size, was reduced to £25 😁. Someone had tried it on and there was a small rip at the back, which my daughter repaired for me and now it’s good as new.

My question is, what shoes would you wear with this dress? Thinking more of a dress down to wear to the pub vibe rather than dress up as I don’t ever go anywhere posh 🤣. Full disclosure, I have size 8 clown feet (although I’m quite tall), so no dainty little trotters here.

Ballet flats like the model is there, opaques and ankle boots in winter

Birkenstock Madrids in summer. Heeled ankle boots. I'd wear colourful trainers too!

Some flat platform sandals? They are quite marmite but I think look good
for smart casual.

I’ve never got on too well with ballet flats, they seem to exacerbate the enormity of my feet 🤣

I would get a pair that you can wear with anything so black, tan, grey or dark brown. That dress will go with any colour really especially if you want a nice casual look. I would go with a dark brown or tan.

Gorgeous dress! Chunky sandals in white / silver would look nice. So would some low profile pumps like Superga or Converse Ox.

Silver Birkenstocks purchased! Thank you 😊. Will have a look at supergas too, would like some trainers which I could wear with it, all I have at the moment is Stan smiths which I think would look a bit wrong.
