Has anyone tried these Vivaia shoes that I see constantly advertised here?

These - my adverts on here are constanly this
https://www.vivaia.com/category/margot-c_470.html

I like the colours and the fact they are for wide fit but I'm put off by the fact the upper looks stretchy material.

IME if you have wide feet and the upper doesn't have a firm structure, the material of the upper shows the shape of your feet and looks really unflattering and ultra- boat like wide.

I know they claim to have supportive insoles but are they that supportive?

Would be interested in any real life feedback from anyone who's tried or owns a pair

I have a pair they are ok in as far as u can. Wear them for a day and they don't agitate my Planctar Facilitis. I cant.wear them 2 days in a row.

They are not water proof

But its SOOO nice to have a pair of pretty shoes I can wear every now and then.

Will say it was a nightmare to get them to send a return form. However once it got sorted the customer service was good. Just took close to 28 days to get to them.

yes i bought a pair due to the color choice, very surprised how well they fit my fat feet. very comfy and i have another pair in the "shopping cart" awaiting the $$ to buy them. this time going for a slight heel and a bow.

Interesting @greenspaces4peace - I like the look of them but I have incredibly flat feet so was worried about their flatness. Are they not too flat then, some arch support?

greenspaces4peace · 02/05/2023 01:05

@IJustHadToLookHavingReadTheBook the insole has a tiny bit of form/arch support this support though is soft and nothing like an orthotic insert (although my inserts might fit in it??).
the pair i purchased have the tiny 1/2 inch heel and the height is much much better than any ballet type flats (i own about 2 pairs of other brand and they are too flat). i also like the square toe, because my feet are chubby, the pointy shoes i have look a bit unflattering.

my sil who needs to wear relatively formal attire (works for an embassy) has these as work shoes and highly recommended them to me.
now i live in an area with poor shopping options (relatively remote canada) so for me the fit and comfort are very good and much better than what i would find in any local shop.
i'm pairing them with dresses for dinner out type occasions.

I have wide feet and found them restrictive and uncomfortable, also in reality didn't look that nice. They are not actually wide, they have a knitted upper and usual size sole so there is a bit of give. Returns were a nightmare too so I ended up selling them. I wouldn't recommend honestly!

Ignorify · 02/05/2023 15:51

I like the Chelsea boots, really comfy and waterproof and can go in the washing machine which means they stay looking smart for work even after rainy and muddy commutes.

I found the shoes mostly too wide for me, despite having quite wide forefeet. I’ve kept one pair (I eventually got some advice from their email help people on which styles were narrowest) which are fine on the forefoot and which I think will be OK with heel grips.

I have real trouble finding smart work shoes and really wanted these to be right, but I’m not yet convinced by the shoes though I definitely like the boots. And the returns process is a pain, they make it deliberately difficult (possible, but awkward and multi-stepped) to get a full refund.

Thanks for this. it's the "didn't look that nice" that was why I asked. I didn't realise the upper was knitted. you can see it's material/stretchy in the photos so I thought it would probably mould to or take on the shape of your feet in a really unflattering way if they are wide.

thanks. I suspected that the support would be a bit weedy.

Glad I started this thread so won't be buying.

ok so i fell for an advert late one night on IG and didn't have high hopes.

THEY WERE SO GREAT I BOUGHT ANOTHER 3 PAIRS!!!

I have 4 pairs in total - the v neck flat ballet pumps. Have in leopard, fluffy black (like wearing cats on your feet!), bright green and a pink/peach pattern.

I LOVE THEM.

They are all cushioned inside which is great if you have to stand or walk a lot - I do.

I will say that a couple of them rubbed my heels at the start but otherwise they are seriously the comfiest loveliest things. i feel like i'm walking on a trampoline.

I've since told all my work friends and we now joke they're like the vivaia uniform for us as we all wear them!

BatshitCrazyWoman · 08/05/2023 07:01

I agree with a PP, I find them really comfortable. They did rub on the heels at first, but I've never had shoes or boots that don't so 🤷‍♀️ But they are comfortable under foot and don't rub anywhere else. Am going to buy more ...

SpotsAreTheNewStripes · 08/05/2023 07:58

I have some. I love the fact they were immediately comfortable and I can wash them. They are quite narrow and not a lot of support though. I am definitely buying more

lordloveadog · 23/05/2023 22:26

I have absurdly wide feet. Like a duck. So I find it very hard to get shoes with any degree of elegance.

Gave in to the adverts for Vivaia and ordered 3 pairs to try.

They're fantastic. I had to size up so returned the two smaller pairs and got slightly different shapes in larger size.

So now I have three pairs of nice shoes. The adverts said they were wide and comfortable and nice-looking - and astonishingly this proved true

HomeCountyHome · 23/05/2023 22:41

How are they for really high insteps? I have basically cubic feet and even wide shoes don’t work if they are cut narrowly across the top of the foot.

Aguablue · 11/02/2024 07:22

Weird...am I in another reality??? I got my shoes yesterday, I payed $134 they look cheaply made and the discomfort started right after I took few steps. There is no real support for the upgraded version so it's not worth it for me. I don't know where all the good reviews come from

Felicialixiao · 04/09/2024 18:36

Hi , has anyone undergone bunion surgery and can you please recommend a brand and model of shoe ( as precise as possible) you wore after the bandages/ hospital sandal came off, also did you go one or more size up ?

CatsnRabbits · 05/09/2024 17:18

I bought a pair of pointed flat ones and wore them for a day out. By the time I'd walked 10 mins to the station my heels were shredded, I had to ring someone to bring plasters! Very painful day, ended up having to tread the heels down in order to be able to walk. How they are advertised as the most comfortable shoes I don't know. Mine are now sold on Vinted!

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 05/09/2024 17:33

Really useful thread OP.

Has anyone found a brand that does similar styles but does have super decent support for plantar / arch issues?

Or is the answer to simply bite the bullet and to sort orthotics? Which I think are not recommended with fabric type uppers.

TherealmrsT · 05/09/2024 17:36

I bought some Mary Jane style ones and was very pleased with how they fit my wide feet and how they were comfortable straight away. Did have slight rubbing in heel at the start but no blisters.
Am eyeing up another pair when I can justify it.

Londonmummy66 · 05/09/2024 17:59

Try a reverse image search on any you like as you can often find the same shoe on amazon or ali express for a fraction of the price. Good for trying a style out.

tothelefttotheleft · 10/09/2024 15:19

Anyone tried the boots?

viques · 10/09/2024 15:22

I bought the leopard ones with the leopard stretching across both shoes, because they looked so cute. I have had to stretch them a bit but now they are worn in they are fine, and they make a lot of people smile.

I also just received the leopard loafers! Very cute and they seem comfy, although I may have to exchange them for a smaller size (which is rare for me as I have wide feet and usually need to size up rather than down). The price seems a bit high for what they are, but I have difficult feet so always thankful when I find something that fits well and isn't hideous.

I did a picture search on Aliexpress using a screenshot of the Vivaia leopard loafers and found this VERY similar pair:

They also should arrive within the next few days, will report back if anyone is interested.
