Help me dress for cornwall

Upcoming holiday to Cornwall in June.

Planning on visiting the little towns and beaches and I want to feel good about myself.

I'm 30, 5ft 3, size 16, and love colour. Any ideas for clothing? Favourite brands are Zara, Monki, Mango, Cos. Trying to be thrifty so am also open to inspiration so I can scour vinted and the charity shops.

Any help/advice/links very welcome ❤️

First thing I've found is this, think it will look great with some jewellery 😊 not sure about shoes I'd pair with though.

Cornwall is a dress down kind of place, so I wouldn’t try too hard. Most people are in jeans/shorts & a t-shirt/hoody.

True!

SashaAlabaster · 01/05/2023 11:34

Which I like a lot.

Thank you both, some great suggestions @SashaAlabaster 😁

No absolutely @FrownedUpon I'm thinking some of these kinds of casual clothes but still colourful and a bit stylish. I'm the kind of person who is too excited to save fancy clothes for special occasions!

Definitely jeans and a t shirt with hoody or cardigan. Layers and a waterproof and good shoes if you go anywhere muddy. I am a scruff bag and feel very at home in the motherland.

I live in Cornwall and just wear jeans/shorts and a T-shirt like most people I see. I’m not remotely stylish though 😂

OP based on the photo you posted you might like these? H and M tunic dresses. The sizing is very generous. I’m a size 10- 12 in dresses and take XS in these. Very comfortable, dress up or down. I wear them with sandals.

I live in Cornwall and spend most summers in either denim shorts & vest tops or bright cotton/linen baggy dresses. Both worn with flip flops and accessorised with hoodie/cardigan/waterproof coat.

We don’t tend to get the extreme heat that happens up country as the sea keeps temperatures down so layers are definitely your friend

I've saved a few bits today on asos. I'm not too concerned about what everyone else is wearing, just want to feel ok about myself and comfortable ☺️ these are all things I'd also wear at home which I think is also important.
