Is it one of the best? I can't find anything that looks and feels as good

It is great if you want high coverage long lasting. If you have discolouration you want to colour it can also usually do this but they do have a high coverage version which I found worked better but at that time I was looking for camouflage make up.

nofusspot · 30/04/2023 20:18

For daily use now I prefer lighter coverage to try and get that "real skin look" and don't care so much about the camo

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/04/2023 20:38

I think their Futurist is even better - not as heavy coverage so more natural/glowy looking.

Cincinnatus · 30/04/2023 21:11

It’s wonderful. I can’t find anything that beats it.

Laiste · 30/04/2023 22:13

I tried for a year not to buy it. Had a thread here only recently moaning about my make up looking shite these days. Tried lots of things. Ended up back on the DW! When it arrived a couple of days ago i put it on and just thought ... aaaaaaahhhhh thank god for that 😂It's lovely.

A bottle lasts me 6/7 months so by the time i've spent x y z trying to find one that's as good and x y z on powders and primers trying to get the cheaper one to look good i might as well just bloody buy the DW, enjoy it, look better and have done with it.

I find i can make the coverage as fine or as heavy as i want.

WesterChick · 30/04/2023 22:34

It's good skin in a bottle.

MumApril1990 · 30/04/2023 22:56

It’s the best, nothing else I’ve used compares

QueenSmartypants · 30/04/2023 23:01

The futurist one is good, lovely sheen but I discovered my eyes were sensitive to it.

I switch between normal double wear and their sheer dw depending on how much coverage I'm after.

pinkyponkyplink · 30/04/2023 23:05

Why is it only spf 10? I use spf 50 under it anyway but I don't understand why they make it spf 10

I love it and have never found anything that compared as the shade I use is an exact match to my skin tone. I use Pixi Rose oil underneath as a base layer and it goes on even better - more sheer.

LiliLil · 01/05/2023 08:29

I must be the only one that hates it. I find it really cakey and my skin just feels horrible when I wear it.

hotelmotelpremierinn · 01/05/2023 08:35

I like Il Makiage - find it similar

lindyloo57 · 01/05/2023 12:41

I hate it too, much too thick and cakey

NowZeusHasLainWithLeda · 01/05/2023 12:56

I don't like it at all, on me, and think you can spot people a mile off who have it on without having prepped their skin with good hydration first. It can look very very masky and flat.

That said, my DD swears by it and I'd say that for a super full coverage foundation it's the best out day. It's the best selling foundation in the world for a reason, after all!

I do think EL have some of the best foundations on the market though. They always have. (Remember Lucidity? The first light reflecting foundation- in a flat matte world it was a revelation) And their colour matching (for me) is the absolute best. Clinique isn't bad, but I find I can't blind buy Clinique. Like pp I'm loving Future Hydra Rescue at the moment.

Btw, if you sign up to the EL website you'll almost always get up to 30% off and lots of free samples.

NowZeusHasLainWithLeda · 01/05/2023 12:57

*out there.

QueenSmartypants · 01/05/2023 13:58

I agree it can be too thick sometimes. I find it easy to apply sparingly though and then can layer it gradually on areas where I need better coverage. I hate the feel of heavy make up so when I wear the standard dw I apply a thing layer and often mix it with some moisturiser.

Much prefer the sheer version.

greencheetah · 01/05/2023 14:04

I absolutely love it. I apply with a sponge very sparingly and it doesn’t look or feel cakey.

It makes me feel polished and professional.
