Boring hunt for bamboo socks

DS who is 11 and in size 4-7 socks has sensory difficulties and really likes bamboo socks.
He's now the same size as me and pretty much indistinguishable from DD. So we have come to an arrangement where he has bright colours, I have navy and grey and DD has patterns (and DH has clodhoppers).
We've had Sock Shop before but they wear out too quickly.
We had a lovely rainbow box from Thought but they now only have baby sizes and pastels.
We had Bam but they only have grey/black/navy.
Please help o wise shopping gurus of Mumsnet! All his old ones have holes!

Tkmaxx often have lots of bamboo socks. Not sure about colours

I've got my own there before actually. Never seen bright colours but I'll have a look.

BAM have lots of bright colours, stripy ones, spots etc, not just dull..

Sock shop have loads and they sell in tk maxx too. I have some as they are lovely and soft and comfy

I need plain and BAM and Thought only have plain in boring colours or pastels and patterned bright. Also he won't wear purple 🙄

Greantreat from Costco, also available on line. Bamboo does take a lot of drying time i find.

So you want bright colours but plain? So, eg just red or just blue?

If all you are doing is making it easier to sort socks by person, I’d have you with plain navy/black or whatever, DD with patterns and DS with stripes. Bam and Thought have loads of striped socks and their socks are worth having as they are so comfortable.

I’d be changing your colour scheme rather than finding a new brand!

Honestly though at £8 a pair I'm thinking forcefully of that poor MNer who was told she needed to buy more cheaply for her DCs with SEN. Thank goodness for DLA..

I really like the Miss Sparrow / Mr Heron ones. You tend to find them in local independent shops but looks like you can find them online

He's at that annoying size when he fits into women's sizes, children's brights are too small and men's too large.
Their women's mixed colour box works out slightly cheaper than the Panda brand, though, if I remove the two he won't wear.

Those would be perfect if they were in his size!

Only DD would wear the Miss Sparrow socks (the rest of us are far too boring, DH would think I'd been abducted by aliens if I bought him World's Best Dad or football socks!). But I'll keep them in mind for when she's a bit bigger.

We do tend to find that stripy socks have threads on the inside (at least, DD's Sock Shop ones do) so have avoided those for DS.

I think he'll be happy with the same Bam ones he had before thankfully, I was annoyed I hadn't bought more.
