Please help me 🙏

Im peri and have put on loads of weight on HRT which has also made my boobs massive !

I have absolutely nothing to wear!!
What will look current, most flattering and not mumsy?

No help, but same position so watching.

Long-term chunkster here to impart wisdom 😄

I too am gigantic of Nork (34HH). Also gigantic of hip and tummy. Tummy is the worst bit to disguise for me.

I am a fan of t-shirts or shirts tucked into a like skirts. I follow someone called I'm just me - Marleen. She has an amazing scandi-irish accent and is mid forties and large of boob. She did a video recently where she copied Pinterest outfits and some of those would be festival and party appropriate

What are your budget and colour preferences?

I'm now a 16 from being a size 10 before kids.

I wore this dress recently and I loved it. Looks much nicer in real life and the fabric is so comfortable.

Oh this dress from Monsoon would be great for a festival

Do you want a dress or something else for the party?

I'd rather buy something of good quality. But if it's from M&S and I like it then fine.

More interested in finding something I love to be honest.

Had a look at the instagram lady mentioned above & her style is really not me. She doesn't dress very flatteringly and looks mumsy imo.

Oh like the sequins!
Did you get an 18 or a 20?

OP posts:
Eminybob · 30/04/2023 15:16
  1. It's pretty true to size
FlowersEverywherePlease · 30/04/2023 15:19

I'd say anything hippy dippy or 70's disco vibe is what I'm after.

I like a shirred cuff & balloon sleeves

Size 18 (was 20 last year) big boobs 38H/HH, short, big tummy and butt especially these days. I personally prefer fitted dresses, fit and flare type that can give me some kind of waist but hide my tummy and don’t hang like a sack on me. If I wear anything baggy I just look even bigger and like I’m pregnant.

Last year I was desperate for a nice party dress and was lucky I found 2 dresses in the 11th hour (literally 2 hours before I was due to go out) in TK Max, not a shop I’ve ever shopped in before. Both dresses were DKNY.

If I’m dancing I want the dress to be able to support me especially around the boobs, so nothing flimsy, I prefer lined with a tight zip to pull me all in. And the dress has 100% have to accommodate a decent support bra. Sleeves, at least on top to cover my flabby arms and mid calf, anything shorter shows too much chunk and anything longer and I’m a round blob.

I will happily sacrifice the latest fashion for comfort and something that personally flatters my body shape.

Recent girls trip I opted for straight ankle grazer trousers & chiffon blouse with lace collar. I accessorised with gold, gold detail on my ankle boots & bag, gold necklace & earrings, even a gold scarf as it was cold it looked good against a fitted leather jacket. The trousers and blouse were black so could change the accessories colour if I wanted. Blouse from Next, trousers no idea.

My go to places to start looking would be, Next & Debenhams, then I’d start looking further afield. My everyday cheap cloths shopping happens in Matalan, I’ve also found a couple of nice flattering dresses in there, but hit and miss for something WOW. I’ve also had success with shein, but again hit and miss.

Joe Brown on Vinted?

Mini dress has got shimmery silvery thread so very 'disco', frilled cuff detail, wrap style always flattering for the ample of chest (esp when combined with a good supportive bra for your all-night dancing!)

Have a look at scamp and dude, such great fun bright fabrics and good quality (with pockets!

Also kimonos are your friend, can layer them up with simple t shirt and jeans (and long shorts of your legs are ok, mine aren't)
