How to stop static?

Certain dresses and skirts I wear cling to my legs and ride up (I am always wearing tights and a slip underneath).

Does anyone know what I can do to prevent this happening please?

Body lotion over your tights. I use an E45 daily spray anyway which is really light so I spritz that.

Someone on here recommended pulling the garment through a wire coathanger to "earth" it.

Hairspray works too.

Not sure if it works for clothes but when my fine hair goes very static, I run a tumble dryer sheet over it

You can also get antistatic spray for clothes

Thank you all for replying so helpfully to me.

I have just bought a can of hairspray to try that - Do I just spray it all over the tights before I put them on?
