Summer Dresses

I'm looking for some day/ evening inspiration for dresses for the summer but in particular for a girls weekend in Spain.

Any links to dresses, play suits and jumpsuits? I'm tall, size 14 with big boobs so need to be careful with those. Legs are ok, happy to get them out but not too short.

What's your rough budget? I'm also tall and a size 12/14 Smile.

I like Boden and Hush. Though watch out for anything made with Ecovero (I think that's what it's called!) as it tends to shrink! The Anyday range by John Lewis is also good for tall gals. Xx

I don't have a budget as such, I'm happy to spend money on decent dresses that flatter and last. Although I'd rather not spend more than £150 per item.

What colours and vibe are you after?

leepinglizards · 29/04/2023 21:49

I suit most colours, not a fan of orange or yellow though.

Going for a trendy not trying too hard vibe

For lovely summer maxi dresses have a look at Aspiga https://www.aspiga.com/search?page=2&q=Maxi+dress&type=product lots of lovely options and all suitable for day into evening.

EllaPaella · 30/04/2023 12:55

This is also lovely

leepinglizards · 30/04/2023 15:08

That is lovely. I'd need to avoid the aperol spritz when wearing that.

Me and Em dresses are brilliant quality and quite trend focussed. Some are expensive but quite a few on their site are £150 and less

Branleuse · 02/05/2023 21:54

Asda summer dresses generally have decent boob room

CinnamonJellyBeans · 02/05/2023 22:56

@EllaPaella @leepinglizards

That white dress is almost identical to the Blue Vanilla viscose version: £38 on the Blue Vanilla website, £21 in Debenhams.

Monsoon have got some great dresses this spring. I like this one, and it’s 100% cotton for a change.

If you're looking for inspiration for summer dresses, playsuits, and jumpsuits , I recommend browsing online stores that offer a wide range of women's clothing. Look for dresses with flowy fabrics, asymmetrical hems, and open backs to stay cool in the warm Spanish climate. You can also opt for jumpsuits or playsuits with a loose fit that are comfortable yet chic. Be mindful of the length of the garment and choose something that flatters your body type.

Is this a chatbot post? Can we report these?

Try John Lewis, Next, Clarence & Alabama (online), Monsoon, M&S, Matalan, Cos, Hush, Boden, Phase Eight. Depending on what sort of look your after. Ideally stick to natural fibres which are cooler to wear in the heat.

If say 5’10’ and over maybe join Tallternative Retail Facebook group for suggestions or follow Kat Farmer, Emily Jane Johnston or Lisa Snowden or Snowdon on instagram.

Love this brand. Wish it was cheaper

@DogAndWineLover I've found ecovero/viscose can be preserved better by washing no higher than 30° and using non-bio. Hand washing/cool is probably better. I've lost many a viscose top to shrinking.
