Full head Tint or Baylage?

Hi

I’m new to hair colouring. I’d like to cover up (lots of greys) should I choose baylage or full head tint?

Also if I have the tint (which is cheaper), can/should I have the baylage in a couple of months time?

thanks

they're going to give you very different results. I cant have a tint due to an allergy. the tint will need more maintenance balayage is pretty forgiving. Not sure why you would balayage on top of a tint, you would need to doing the roots on the tint.

I have two stripes of grey, and dark hair, it doesnt cover the grey but it breaks it up a bit and looks more like I have holiday hair.

Very often they'd be done at the same time to compliment each other. Balyage on it's on won't cover greys as it doesn't go to the root and it isn't all over.

Thanks all. I’m confused. So if I have too many grey hairs I shouldn’t have baylage because it won’t cover them?

I was hoping to have a more natural colour rather than just one block colour?

which needs less maintenance please? Do people really pay £80 for colour and £40 for cut every 4-6 weeks?! Seems a lot. This is what a standard mid range salon has quoted

Highlights in 2 or 3 colours is the best low maintenance way to cover greys, can have just the T section done to reduce costs, and transition as you get greyer!

I started with dark chestnut natural hair plus greys 20 years ago and am now substantially blonde with well blended greys, natural hair must be 100% grey these days but I will never find out!
