What do people wear to work these days?

I’m a PA in mostly corporate or central government roles but apart from spring/summer interview dresses and jackets and blazers I don’t have much left as I donated the vast majority to charity shop/friend over lockdown. As I thought I wouldn’t need them anymore. My go to shops for corporate wear before were TM Lewin, Jigsaw, Reiss and then also Mango suit clothes and H&M workwear.

I’m a size 12. Would invest in Hobbs type dresses if they last well.

I would invest in good quality cigarette black or navy trousers (Reiss or Hobbs or maybe Max Mara - some good sales if out of budget) and a few nice tops - that can be easily dressed up and down - goes with a flat, ballerina, heel.
