Can i salvage this bag?

DH bought me this Jasper Conran bag a little while ago. Unfortunately i took it to a conference, let it on my chair and came back to find what looks like foot marks on it. I’ve tried to wipe it off, etc with no luck.
Can you please suggest something specific to try?
Would a cobbler be able to help?

Magic sponge will probably scratch it.

I would try first with mild soap and water on a cloth, or diluted white vinegar. There are also some specific products for patent leather that might help.

Aah i see, thank you. i’ve white vinegar so can try that. I’ll look into the products for patent leather.

Try windex, works a treat on dye transfer/ink.

Micellar water is usually quite good too.
