Need a good fake engagement ring

Springiscomingsoonish · 26/04/2023 16:39

I need to replace my engagement ring for a few years while I save up to have it resized and upgraded. So while I’m doing that I would like a really high quality fake engagement ring, that isnt obviously fake. Not looking for something too big. Have found objkts, though these stones are too big for me. Any suggestions?

I don't understand. Isn't an engagement ring given to you by someone who wants to marry you? Why are you saving up to change it for something flashier? Confused

OwlBasket · 26/04/2023 17:15

Surely resizing wouldn’t cost much more than a decent fake? Then you could wear it while saving for the upgrades you want

Clymene · 26/04/2023 17:17

Sorry, that's not very helpful. I'm just intrigued!

Shinyandnew1 · 26/04/2023 17:30

Resizing will probably be cheaper than buying a high quality copy.

InceyWinceySpidy · 26/04/2023 17:32

Resizing a ring is really cheap. Like under £50.

So you don't need to not wear your original one, you can get it resized and wear it while you are saving up.

I'd look at moissanite or QVC Diamonique.

HuggingtheHRT · 26/04/2023 17:51

I can understand the need to resize, but 'upgraded'?? What's wrong with your existing ring? Is it damaged?

Carat*?

I second this brand. I used to work with them and they are genuinely lovely quality

Warren James have some good quality CZ rings. I have a few for when I go out or travel as I'm too scared that I'll lose mine.

I agree that a good quality "fake" engagement ring would probably cost more than getting your own resized. I had 3 rings resized a few years ago and I paid 120 in total, that included repairing one of them.

Tru Diamonds

Thanks to all those who have suggestions, really appreciate them and will check them out.
We have our reasons for wanting to upgrade it trust me 😉 and nothing to do with needing something flashier but thanks for the judgement!

resizing is cheaper if going smaller..ali express has nice moisanite rings for appx £8....dont get too big or look fake.

strawberryfluff · 26/04/2023 19:39

I'd just get it resized as is. Or go to hsamuel/argos and get a cubic zirconia one. Is the stone to be used an heirloom? If so then I would consider getting a whole new band and fitting made especially for it.

Skybluepinky · 26/04/2023 20:10

Resizing doesn’t cost much, do u not like yr ring?
