What kind of jacket or coat to go with this bridesmaid dress?

The wedding is quite casual and will be on a farm late afternoon in May. I’m always really really cold and after all the photos will definitely need a cover up. What should I use? Not a shawl.

I love that dress- the waistline looks good for synching in so to keep the shape I'd go for a bolero style jacket to keep you warm.

Maybe a white denim jacket?

I love it so much too! I’ll definitely be wearing it every time the sun is out this summer....if we get a summer.

I forgot to ask what colour? Cream, white, taupe, darker orange? The brides dress is lemon yellow and has told guests she doesn’t mind if they wear white or cream.

A darker orange ,that way you could go denim or leather jacket.

It's a pretty dress but very difficult to get a jacket or coat for. It's a casual dress and you'd normally wear it without anything until it got cold in the evening when you'd just put on whatever cardigan, jumper etc there is to hand.

I agree it needs to be fitted like a bolero or a short fitted white denim jacket.

Cardigans at a wedding sounds a ridiculous idea but Brora and Palava do very dressy cardigans - 3/4 length sleeves are smarter.

I'd be tempted to go for a cashmere cardigan or something like a light alpaca wool knit
