Black tie appropriate?

I have a work event to go to which requires 'hollywood glamour' dress code. Do you think this dress would be ok with the right accessories?

I think they're slightly over egging the dress code as it's on site so nowhere posh - think they are just encouraging people to make a bit of an effort!

I want something I would wear again and feel this could be dressed up or down?

Yes it's lovely, it's dressy enough for black tie.

I think for true black tie it's a bit short but you'd get away with it especially if they're over egging the dress code

Thank you both - I've gone for it (just hope it fits!) I think there will be a lot of people in more cocktail style dresses so should be able to get away with the length.
