Could these shoes be turned into flats?

I’m sure I know the answer already…… I’ve had these shoes for 15-20 years and have probably worn them less than five times. It’s very unlikely I’ll ever wear heals in the future but I would wear these if they were flat. Is there any way that they can be re-healed / soles flattened to make them flat?

I wouldn't have thought so. And the expense of doing so would probably make it pointless.

They're lovely. I'd buy an outfit to go with them and wear them.

You could look for a cobbler in your area and take them there, but I suspect they would say it wasn't possible.

I think it's worth taking them to an actual cobbler and asking the question!

Haus1234 · 23/04/2023 16:33

I doubt it given the shape of them, maybe they could become wedges?

MargotEdithAgnes · 23/04/2023 16:33

Maybe not flat, but possibly turned into a less spindly heel?

Jollysexrennovator · 23/04/2023 16:44

For temporary accommodation maybe, but I don't think anyone could live in them long term.😆

I’ll see if I can find an independent, ‘old school’ cobbler. I wouldn’t mind the cost if it meant I could actually wear them. At nearly 6ft I don’t need any help on the height front!

No. Because of the shape of the sole. It's curved into a shape that works with a heel but wouldn't work without it.
