I have a clothes rail and they go straight back on there unless it is a top I've worn under a dress for example and I've been teaching a long day........ I will often wear the same (ish) outfit for 2 or 3 days. And even then does it even need washing if it's a loose fitting dress ?

I have a laundry basket in the bathroom. I have a quick shower before bed and put dirty clothes in the washing basket. I have a narrow washing basket in my wardrobe where I put clothes to rewear.

Wash basket or wardrobe

I've recently ordered a couple of these for DH and I, although I have told him yet! We are moving our bedroom to a different room in the house so they are for our new bedroom:

Laundry basket on the landing.

To add to my previous post, I currently have one of these:
www.futoncompany.co.uk/shop-by-product/organise/bathroom/oak-mini-valet.html
but it is too big for our new bedroom space and DH will no longer have his WFH desk in our bedroom so there will be no chair for all his stuff.
I will probably donate the one above ro DS2 who tends to have a pile of stuff left out.
I tend to have PJs and a jumper or hoodie regularly hanging up, plus leggings or joggers in the summer to put on in the evening when it cools down. And some exercise gear and a sports bra. And extra layers for colder weather. And often I have 2 pairs of wool socks on the go, thin ones and thick ones for different shoes. Lots of my clothes are wool so I often wear for multiple days. They all pile up on my valet.
Very dirty clothes like jeans with mud on the bottoms for going out walking or gardening get hung up in the hall on the coat rack for wearing again.

I have a chair in my bedroom specifically for this purpose.

Twirlymoo · 25/04/2023 22:12

Floor next to my bed. Anything dirty goes in the washing basket when I get up and clean e.g. jeans worn the next day.

Beachhutnut · 25/04/2023 22:15

If they're dirty laundry basket, if clean I hang them back up or fold and stick back in drawer ( unless I am really tired and wearing the next day in which case I may put on a stool next to the bed but prefer not to because it looks messy.

Everything? Every day? You wear jeans, jumpers, jackets only once?

Yes. I work in an environment with lots of bodily fluids, grabbing, paint, glue, food...
