How to remove HRT patch glue squares on bum!

Hello stylish people

I can't be the only one who ends up with weird squares left on my bum from the glue in the HRT patches.

How do you get it off? I've tried soap and scrubbing obvs, also baby oil, but can't find anything that gets it off quickly.

I rub some avocado oil into mine over night and it comes off easily in the shower next day with a bit of gentle rubbing.

I’m allergic to the glue on HRT patches. 🥴

Baby oil on cotton wool runs off really easily

nosleepsleep · 22/04/2023 22:22

I put the patches on the top of my legs and the sticky bits come off when I shave my legs.

Just a thought on this, - wad it combined patches you struggled with or just oestrogen ones?

I was absolutely allergic to the combined patch ones, and also cannot tolerate synthetic progesterone intablet/implant etc form, but the oestrogen only ones I am fine with. I take Utrogestan as the progesterone element. So if you'd prefer to use patches to gel you may be OK if oestrogen only.

I am allergic to so much skin wise (plasters, perfume, perfumed moisturiser, soap etc) but estradot and everol both fine a year on.

Put on thighs instead. Any oil works to remove the glue.

Just tried eye makeup remover(Nivea) and it works a treat, thanks to whoever suggested this - been frantically scrubbing for the past 18 months in vain 😂

neonjumper · 23/04/2023 14:52

I use the old patch and rub it off with that , works a treat .

That was me! And mine is Nivea too 😁 You’re welcome!

I don't. Have so many overlapping now my bum looks like a blancmange in a string bag.😂

Nudi Spray is brilliant, it's new....one quick spray and the glue just wipes straight off, so good.

It works and my bum is now completely smooth and doesn’t smell of Halfords.

A few things to try! I just leave them too but want to go back to swimming regularly. I use baby oil but still need to scrub and it leaves red marks. Zoff didn't work at all for me. I’ve ordered some nudi spray.

Thethruththewholetruth · 23/01/2024 14:34

Waterproof eye make up remover, the ones you have to shake to mix the oil up. On cotton wool and comes straight off. I use Nivea one. £2 on amazon.

This is a zombie thread but fuck it, someone else might get stuck 😂.

Anything alcohol based will remove sticky residue - even hand sanitiser (the good shit, not the best weird cucumber smelling stuff).

Baby oil and cotton pad works for me

Madeupballs · 23/01/2024 18:45

Baby oil didn’t work for me. It just made it more chewy.
