I've read that an oil-based cleanser might help my enlarged pores. Can anyone recommend one please?

My favourites are DHC cleansing oil and the simple cleansing oil. Both emulsify really well.

Tulips2019 · 22/04/2023 09:46

The DHC one is really good. Superfacialist Vit C one is also good and often on offer.

Hotvimto3 · 22/04/2023 09:53

I love superfacialist vit c it smells lovely too. Sainsburys sometimes have it on offer x

This one from Emma Hardie shop.emmahardie.com/products/moringa-cleansing-balm-with-cleansing-cloth

I like the DHC one mentioned by others. I buy from Escentual when they have one if their fairly regular RRP discounts.

I also just bought a mini of the Superfacialist one mentioned, having heard good things. Haven’t tried it yet though!

Dermalogica pre cleanse

Bobbi brown soothing oil cleanser

Do you literally use it instead of a normal cleanser? On/off with cotton wool?

Jins · 22/04/2023 11:33

Laugh if you like but ponds cold cream makes an amazing oil cleanser. I’ve recently started using it as it triggered a vague memory of my mother and grandmother using it

JMTWords · 22/04/2023 13:08

I apply straight to my skin, massage it in a bit, then remove with a damp washcloth.

Peridot1 · 22/04/2023 13:12

Body Shop Chamomile cleansing oil is good too.

@ChangedForEmbarrassingQuestions - not really. You are best to rinse it off or use a wash cloth rinse out in warm water.

Emotionalstorm · 22/04/2023 13:43

Cosmedix purity solution oil cleanser is the best I've tried.

SummaLuvin · 22/04/2023 14:31

I didn't love DHC, I felt it left a film on my skin which as an oily skin girl I hated, though might be more welcome if you have dry skin.

My all time favourite it Dear Klairs, Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil.

@Jins I used to use this. Maybe I'll try it again.

I put it straight on the skin, massage, rinse off

I sometimes use a second cleanser or exfoliater on the oily skin

I’ve been using this for years. My skin is amazing!

smooththecat · 24/04/2023 12:30

I like the simple one. The superfacialist smells like citrus-based cleaner and they used to use it at my old work. Had to throw it out.

pikantna · 24/04/2023 13:05

Simple, although I was in love with Superdrug's BPure oil to milk cleanser before they discontinued it.

8roses · 24/04/2023 14:38

Elemis do a really good one

Annabel073 · 24/04/2023 14:52

Votary super seed cleansing oil

JennyTheDonkey · 24/04/2023 15:02

That body shop camomile one stung my eyes. I like the Kiehl's Midnight Cleansing Oil.
