Tan drops/fake tan recommendations needed

I’m looking for a subtle, safe to use (as in - easy to apply without streaks) tan drops or fake tan.

Im very pale and would like to get one or two degrees tanned before my 2w work travel to a sunny, warm country next month. Just enough to wear short sleeves and skirts without blinding passers by. However, I’m a total novice and would need something easy to apply that is not going to leave me looking like a zebra.

I am big fan of tinted foams as you can see where you're applying them, so no nasty streak surprises. My current fave is the Hawaiian tropic one which is great for my olive toned skin.

I am also impressed with the five gradual tanning lotion, takes a few days but as it takes several layers also less likely to get the tiger stripes.

I also use those on my face, but like the st Moritz drips too, but they're loads more.

Finally, if you have loads of money the Clarins and Clinique self tan milks are also good

St Tropez 123 foam is good. You can control the colour which is important if you're not used to fake tan.

I rarely use it other than on my legs at the beginning of the summer but it's been ok so far.

Dove might be your friend here
it brings out a lovely subtle colour and is easy to use

My routine is using Isle of Paradise medium tanning water spray which I blend in with a cheap foundation brush down over my neck and collarbone, then on the rest of my body I use one of the aforementioned tanning mousses. Coco and Eve (in medium) is a great subtle one applied with a good quality mitt. Again, I use a foundation brush to blend over my fingers and knuckles. The Bondi Sands ones are good too.

Boots has fake tan deals on at the moment.

I was about to say Dove summer @Slimjimtobe plus the Tan luxe for face @RobertaTheRotund

make you body/face scrub and moisturise the day before you do it and again on the day. Let the moisturiser dry too. Then do the Dove every other day until you like the colour.

For ‘full’ tan I use St Moritz mousse in medium (also v pale naturally)

I'm getting on really well with Isle of Paradise medium too - I'm using their spray gun with refills and it's the best and easiest tan I've ever used. I'm naturally v pale but it just gives me a glow and it's the least smelly one I've tried so far.

I’m very pale and use the Bondi sands gradual tan in the light blue bottle. I have found this the best for me as only want a small amount of colour and not patchy.

I don’t use it on my face though, usually just use tinted moisturiser.

also following your thread now to see if they’re are any others I should try

Another “see through” person here. Bondi Sands foam is literally the only one that works for me. No streaks and very very subtle so you can build it up.

I third isle of paradise. Tanning drops mixed with moisture miser for face, spray for body.

Thank you all! I chickened out at the Boots after putting Isle of Paradise and Bondi in my basked and went with Dove summer but I may gather courage to go back next weekend for the more ‘real’ stuff if Dove fails to make me less deep-sea-fish and more human.

How did you get on? Waiting for your thoughts as I could have written your post myself!
