Do you have clothes you only wear on holiday?

Just wondering if this is just me or if others are the same? Do you have certain clothes you only ever wear on holiday? At home I am mostly in neutrals, sort of low-key preppy style, but on holiday all the bright prints come out, swishy maxi dresses, linen shorts and shirt combos, 'cute' wrap dresses. DH is the same, he has a few shirts that he only ever wears on holiday. Some dresses and outfits I've had for years and years as they only ever get worn on my hols.

We are off to Spain soon and I've been eyeing up a few new purchases- one is a maxi dress with a bright leaf print. It's really nice, and would be perfectly acceptable to wear at home in the summer, but for some reason I know it would just be a 'holiday dress'.

Anyone else?

My walking boots come out mainly on holidays although if it snows I do wear them at home. Swimming costumes too. I don't go swimming much at home.

Yes I have holiday only clothes
It's definitely a thing.
My partner has his holiday only clothes as well.

I've just realised I don't but maybe should, I literally wear any of my clothes on holiday so I've been hiking in linen blazers, and to the beach with sandals I wear to the office.

Coverup is usually a button down shirt which can also be a hiking layer, PJs, office wear or going out with the tails tied in front 😁

Me too . This weekend I'm planning to dig out my holiday wardrobe to evaluate if the bobbly jumpers and really ancient boots are smart enough for a trip to the UK this Xmas. Kids will have grown out of everything wintery they had last year so normally have to do a mercy dash to the shops when we arrive.

Yes I do, just back yesterday and the clothes are being washed and packed away into a case until I next go away in March, saves cluttering up drawers/wardrobe.

I have a Mia Tui overnight bag that is always packed and ready to go. It has 2 dresses, 1 jumpsuit, 1 skirt, 1 playsuit, 1 pair trousers, half a dozen tops, 2 bikinis and 1 coverup, plus a travel washkit and make-up. I don't need to stress about packing and I love, love, love my holiday wardrobe.

Yes, I only wear my skiing kit when skiing and I only wear a linen kaftan thing as a beach dress when on holiday in hot countries.

Not specifically just holidays, but l have a few summer dresses and tops that don’t really work with a bra. I’m less likely to wear them at home (and certainly not to work) unless it’s teally warm.
