Straightener recommendations please

My 18 year old Remington wet to straight straighteners, although still functioning, are not working as well as they once did.

I used my friend's GHD's recently and LOVED them, but I really can't afford them!

Can anyone recommend me straighteners that run over the hair as smoothly as GHD's but don't come with a £££ price tag?

I was going to say dyson but they’re more money than ghd

DD has Cloud Nine, I prefer them to my GHDs.

Wet to straight? Do they do a good job I need a pair that does this

getafringenotbotox · 21/04/2023 18:59

Or do they no longer exist Confused

I have dyson ones currently they are great and cordless but my ghd's were better

I bought some Remington shine therapy straighteners for about £30 a few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing! Much much better than GHD's!

Also have Remington shine therapy and would highly recommend

My hairdresser uses Cloud Nine.

Yes, I’ve got these too & love them

Another Remington Shine Therapy fan - shop around as they can be as much as £80 in boots but as little as £30 elsewhere

I have no idea if they still do them, and I was never brave enough to try them on wet hair!

So looks like Cloud Nine or the Remington Shine Therapy are the favourites - I have to say that I'm impressed with how long my current Remington ones have lasted so will probably look at those.

I have Cloud 9’s and love them. I also have the Remington Shine Therapy ones and they are really good too. Probably just as good at straightening. However, after a couple of weeks they made my hair like straw.
