Help me find a new work bag

New job (fingers crossed, just waiting on refs), new bag 😁

Has anybody seen anything nice? I'm looking for something big (for a laptop plus papers and all the ordinary daily gubbins) and do-uppable (will be commuting by public transport). Open to any colour although I do like a brown bag.

Budget is around £500 for a leather bag, happy to spend less or a bit more. Smaller maker is a plus.

off the back of a response to a similar thread last summer, I discovered the kipling superworker. Superb laptop bag, plenty of room for all your other bits, does up, has lots of useful little features. At the time I too was looking for a leather workbag but I was convinced to take the plunge and I LOVE mine. I went for the black peppery as it's a much nicer fabric compared to the other colours.

Do the different colours of fabric have a different feel? I like the look of the blue one.

yes there is a difference as they are different fabrics. the black peppery is a polyester fabric, the others are a polyamide. Polyamide is more of a sports bag or messenger bag material. It isn't what I personally would deem a smarter work bag. if you zoom in on the pictures you'll be able to see a clear difference

another difference is the handles. The black peppery has leather effect grab handles, the others are woven material.

One potential positive about the blue one is that you could easily chuck it in the washing machine

I don't know if they still do this particular model, but Wenger bags generally ive found to be smart sturdy and high quality.
