Are there any recommended colour enhancing shampoos and conditioners (thinking back to the 80's Shaders and Toners sachets)

After a few hair disasters I chopped my hair short last year to start again with my natural colour and undamaged hair. Although I have a lot of grey, I also seem to have some nice warmth and in some sections it looks coppery. I love it now
My question is, are there any products I can use maybe once a week or less that would enhance the copper tones? I can remember the shades and toner sachets from years ago and when I was sent to the shop as a child, I would covet these sachets, I was desperate to colour my hair.
I don't want anything like a semi permanent, I'm maybe being unrealistic but hoping someone can help.

Pics attached x

I use this in between henna on my hair and it really does tint my greys! I leave it on for half hour plus though. The red I buy isn't showing on the website for some reason but I got some the other day www.superdrug.com/hair/hair-colourants/wash-in-wash-out/superdrug-colour-effects-chocolate-brown-67-75ml/p/794730

Or this for a fancy option. Not tried it yet but my hairdresser recommended it to me https://www.sallybeauty.co.uk/maria-nila-colour-refresh---bright-copper-7.40-300ml/154311.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw_ihBhADEiwAXEazJt9e0iTxORMarJqiAYMQCQNClkDMSS11syMiKVegFrQ9jp4yNmro0xoCGB4QAvDBwE

Morning, thank you so much for these, I will have a wee browse. I'm a bit wary of trying things in case it mucks up my hair, my Husband will roll his eyes and possibly moan that I can't just be happy with what I've got 😂

I'm loving this! Sand looks nice too, thank you, it's pricey but if it enhances my colours who cares xx

The Superdrug colour effects are exactly like the wash in, wash out sachets of old. I use this one. Bottle lasts ages.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 19/04/2023 08:37

@TheOGCCL I looked at the copper gold just there, I think I'll try it but with a strand test before doing all over. It's a fab cheap option if it works well with my hair. The Sally's looks great too 😀

@OrganicAlchemy I've just bought the Maria Nila in copper today, I'll let you know what it's like x

Ooo great! I hope it works well, definitely post pics if you're happy with the results 😃

AbsoIutelyLovely · 23/04/2023 04:55

Superdrug’s fantastic, I live in fear of them being discontinued. I have no idea why this is the only option! Everything is so harsh now

Friendofdennis · 23/04/2023 06:45

John freida Defy Grey is also good

WoofWoofBeachLife · 23/04/2023 10:47

@AbsoIutelyLovely that's what I think too, there should be more options for pigmented products. @Friendofdennis I will have a look at the JF.
The results are very subtle as I was terrified of Irn Bru hair 😅
I mixed it with a lot of my own conditioner just in case. I'm not great at taking pics so these aren't the best to show the colour. My ends are lighter and the colour has come out brighter there but I love it. I think I'll put it on neat next time and with a little longer time. X

I made a special trip to Superdrug today to buy this stuff. But I couldn't remember what it was called. and the assistant recommended me some stuff that came only in silly colours like pink, blue and green. Gaah!

Will have to go again now. At least I've found the thread.

OrganicAlchemy · 27/04/2023 00:28

Its often not in some smaller stores/all the shades so if its a special trip might be worth ordering online and collecting/getting delivery :)

NetZeroZealot · 27/04/2023 08:58

Hmmm. I read the label online and it said not suitable for grey hair. That would be my primary objective, to tide me over until my colourist can fit me in. Anyone tried it on grey hair?

Snoopsnoggysnog · 27/04/2023 09:00

I was coming on to say the Superdrug stuff as well! It’s brilliant! I have dark hair and a lot of grey and it doesn’t cover it but it didn’t sort of blend it away and makes your hair really shiny.
I also fear it being discontinued so I have a small stash of it!
it’s so cheap too!

Snoopsnoggysnog · 27/04/2023 09:00

*it does sort of blend it away
that should have said

WoofWoofBeachLife · 28/04/2023 08:16

Morning, I'd love to try the super drug one but the reviews on the colour I wanted weren't great. Many reviewers said it contained a henna product which I really don't want as that's one of the reasons I chopped all my hair off initially. I'm getting my hair cut today and I'm going to use my Maria Nila undiluted 🙈 xx

I’ve used everything over the years and agree nothing beats Superdrug. Have used the Maria nila also, did like it but it stains your hands which the Superdrug doesn’t, also found the colour a bit less subtle. It definitely suggest buying a bottle and then stock up if you like it as they have frequent supply issues!

LizzieSiddal · 28/04/2023 08:27

That product looks fab on your hair! i’m really impressed.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 28/04/2023 08:51

Has anyone tried Glaze? I keep seeing ads for it

WoofWoofBeachLife · 28/04/2023 10:51

@Verigio it did stain and I forgot to get gloves, what colours do you use with the super drug one? @LizzieSiddal I liked the result, I diluted it a lot with my conditioner because I was a bit of a fearty 🤣 my ends are sun bleached and it was really vibrant there.
@Snoopsnoggysnog no I've not heard of that one, I'll check that out. I'm now wanting to try superdrug sachets. I'm looking for really shiny hair.

Verigio · 28/04/2023 13:01

@WoofWoofBeachLife Copper gold would be the right shade for you, once you’ve washed your hair squeeze as much water out as you can then lather in like shampoo. I’d leave it about ten minutes but you might want to start with less and build up/see how you go. It leaves a good colour but needs to be left longer than things like the Maria Nila. It makes your hair incredibly soft and shiny, really swear by it. (Although they have messed with the formula on my colour, the rich red! Luckily I bought a good stash ages ago so I still have the old one to hand.)

@Snoopsnoggysnog I’ve tried the rose gold glaze, did nothing for me sadly.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 28/04/2023 13:07

Ah thank you lovely, I just need to find a Super drug or actually I'll order online that will be best. Xx
