I had my Rook and Daith pierced in December before finding out I am pregnant.
They have not fully healed yet which I expected as I know it takes aaaagesss. I have a curved barbell 1.2mm / 16g in the rook and captive bead ring 1.6mm / 14g in the daith.
I have now been advised to have an elective C Section in June. Is it possible to swap the jewellery for plastic / glass retainers before the piercing has actually healed? (6 months after piercing) or am I going to have to remove the jewellery and leave them to heal up?
I have heard of women leaving earrings in for C sections before, just taping over them but I know that's not advised. I removed all of my jewellery for my last C Section. I'd just like to try and avoid having them re-pierced if at all possible.
