Bumpy skin texture

I’m using Skin and Me and have just started to add hyaluronic acid and vitamin C serum. I also use sunscreen daily. My acne is a lot better, but over the past year, my the skin on my chin has become bumpy. It’s not acne, but looks like I’m covering acne. It looks worst when it’s bright out. In addition, two tiny barely there freckles have developed tiny bumps underneath.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks..

Could it be fungal acne? Search for "malassezia safe" for more info.

Thank you for your reply. I had a google and it doesn’t look like fungal acne. It doesn’t look like acne at all when I’m wearing no make up- it’s just bumpy. When I wear foundation, it has the appearance of looking like there’s acne underneath the make up. It’s really strange.

Skin& me did that to me too. I had to stop altogether because they didn't listen to me when I messaged about the issues.

Salicylic acid 2% twice a day

Thanks, that’s really interesting. I have mentioned this to them before, but they didn’t address it. I am nervous to come off it though as last time I stopped it, my acne came back with a vengeance. Did the bumpiness resolve for you after you stopped it?
I’m not sure what ingredient in the cream could be causing it. And I use the cream all over my face, but only my chin is bumpy.

Thank you. I can’t use that while I’m on Skin and me, but looks like I need to think carefully about how to move forward. My skin doesn’t feel rough or dry, it’s just lightly bumpy, which doesn’t look good when the sunlight hits it.

Honestly it really was just my chin too. It took me months to get it to clear up as well.

If you're worried about your acne coming back (something I fully sympathise with) have you tried not applying it to your chin and just using it elsewhere?

Thanks Oneanddon3. It’s interesting to hear of someone else with a similar experience. I’m glad yours went - gives me hope that mine will too!

Problem is, my chin is one of my main acne areas. I’ve even got a pit from my last acne outbreak, so I have no idea what to do. I get every type of spot, including cysts. The red marks take forever to go, or don’t go. I have a red mark still from a 2006 spot. I’m so fed up of my skin. I’m not exactly pretty to start with.

Just wanted to update on the off-chance it’s helpful to anyone. I’ve stopped Skin and Me and started on the combined pill, benzoyl peroxide (PM) and salicylic acid (AM) to control acne. Touch a lot of wood, my skin is holding steady. Also, I realised today that the texture on my chin has smoothed out. Thanks again for your help.
