Midi not maxi. I'm 5ft 3 and would prefer it just past my knees. Not maxi, it would wear me rather than me wearing it!

Primark is worth a punt.

Good idea. Lots of them seem quite expensive.
What different ways to style it? Eg afternoon out in a beer garden/slightly dressy as opposed to totally casual. There's a fine line between stylish and just getting it wrong!

I got a Levi’s mom skirt which is midi length at a charity shop so worth checking out ones near you which means you could score a branded skirt for less than Primark prices.

I think wedges would good in both casual and more formal situations in combination with a an appropriate top. &Other Stories have some lovely (if not a little spendy) blouses to go with it. New Look for cheaper options are worth a look. There is also the t shirt option for a top.
