Can I use a wash in wash out colour on grey hair?

Any brands to recommend or steer clear of?

I do but yes it can stain. I did a Superdrug copper one (I am warm light brown and grey) and the grey/white bits came out pink and lasted some time.

I use a wella glaze now in the blonde/caramel shade and that works well. I'd never use a copper again no matter what brand.

It can definitely stain due to the porosity of grey/white hair. Once I started putting pastels over my natural silver I was never able to get it back to the same level of steeliness (ultimately went back to full dye anyway so didn't matter too much to me).

I did bubble gum pink on my mousey/silver hair. My silver didn't take the colour and the rest of my hair turned a dark pink, so pink it was almost brown.
