Vitamin C serum

Can anyone recommend a vitamin C serum please?

I’ve used The Ordinary’s one in the past but found it a bit greasy so looking for one that absorbs well.

I’m approaching 40 and have a fairly good skincare routine in place (SPF50 daily, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and aha toner) but this is a step that’s missing and I think I need to introduce it now as from what I’ve read on here my skin is likely to change as I hit my 40s 🥴

Thanks all

Revolution's one is 20% - but I'm pretty sure that I've read that the skin can't cope with more than 15% so higher than that is largely pointless. That said, I did get results with it but I just couldn't get on with the texture.

I'm lucky that I can afford the more spendy serums - I do go without other things though as I love skincare. I only use a few products that I've honed down over the years- I'm sure I save a fortune in duff buys by sticking to the ( albeit more expensive) things that I know work for me.

I’m exactly the same - spend a lot on skincare but buy the same products over and over. I’ve been using the Kiehl’s vitamin C serum for years, and switching to the skinceuticals one would be the first major change to my skin care regime for a long time 😅

I’m working up the courage to start using Tret now I’m in my 30s, but such a big change needs more deliberation and research, I feel!

I've just finished my 1st bottle of the medik8 one and love it. Have already bought a 2nd bottle.

@Usernamen

Tret isn't for the faint hearted, but it's made the most massive difference to my skin in conjunction with Vit C. Unless you're in the very small % of people who can't tolerate it, I cant recommend it highly enough. I've got on really well with Dermatica.

Vitamin C serums never do a thing for me. I always hear how important they are, and how they make the skin “glow”, but for me they make no difference at all.

Recently finished the Sunday Riley CEO serum which had a great texture, not greasy at all. But I couldn’t justify a repurchase.
