Hi
My DD is into gothic style clothing. She's 14 but adult size (5 foot 9, size 12-14).
Does anyone know decent places to buy clothes and boots?
She's ASD too and struggles with overwhelming situations like shopping, so much of this we'd need to do online.
Had sone bad experiences buying online and getting clothes from China which were awful too so trying to avoid!
TIA

There's some mainstream shops like Blue Banana on the High St who offer some options online.

Disturbia, Hell Bunny, Attitude Clothing and Kill Star are the first to spring to mind online.

eBay and Vinted are well worth a look as well.

My dd liked Dolls Kill but we had issues with customs fees - which I believe have now been resolved.

AllOfThemWitches · 12/04/2023 10:14

Killstar and Disturbia

Kate’s clothing, The Gothic Shop

I get most of my clothes from Disturbia and Hell Bunny. EMP is a good source as well.

Little Lies are good - it’s more of a rock chick/Stevie Nicks kind of vibe overall, but they have a lot of things that would be very goth when styled in that way. They do good shoes and accessories too.

DD likes Blue Banana for band merch. Beyond Retro can be worth a look too.

Schuh sell New Rock boots.

Love how all the goths are coming out of the woodwork 😁

Attitude Clothing, EMP, Blue Banana, RedBubble, and Etsy are favorites of my eldest. My youngest leans towards goth-style fashion and buys almost all of her clothes from Shein.

Loads of ideas! Thank you .... I'm going to be broke lol 😆

Dd1 (13) and I both love EMP. Scarlett Darkness does some nice pieces although some others are more costume type. Disturbia is also good for both of us.
Dd1 also likes Hell Bunny and Kates Clothing. I have also bought from The Gothic Shop online before too for her.

In my goth days (student/young adult - size 16 most of that time) with no money, I used to get black basics from Primark (black shirts/strappy tops and jeans) and then accessorise - you can get a surprising amount of stuff from Claires (like armwarmers, plastic/punky jewellery, black collars). I bought a cheap dog collar style necklace which I got engraved by a trophy engraver friend to have my name on - accessorising is the fun part! When places like Kate's Clothing and Vampire Freaks had a sale I would buy from there. Hot Topic used to be a favourite but the quality of their t-shirts is crap (like dishcloths) - their corset/pirate style stuff, however, was excellent and made of good fabric. I had some green and black silky corsets off ebay which I used to wear with flowing black skirts and my DMs. Killstar's knitwear is a favourite with one of my still-goth friends.
