Hello! I need some help with a wedding guest outfit for the summer please. I have this dress that I'm going to wear (it suits my shape and I think looks nice on me) but I'm struggling with shoes/accessories so need some advice.. I just can't tell what shoes would actually go with it - it's like I'm style blind. I really like tan block/wedge sandals (like this https://www.dunelondon.com/jodi-cork-platform-sandals-tan-0080507980003511.html ) but have zero clue really....

Caveats; I have pretty big feet and they are wide too, so dainty shoes/pointy shoes just aren't my thing. Also, I much prefer a sturdier heel to something thin, as I'm not used to heels. Alternatively, maybe I dont need a heel? Ergh, any advice welcome! :)

Sorry, no advice, but I just wanted to say what a lovely dress that is Smile

(Hopefully this might bump your question for someone who is a better shopper than me)

I would go with gold accessories - shoes, bag, jewellery

Hi OP,

What's your budget? I think a bright pink or purple heel would look beautiful with that dress and really set off the colour. Esska do lovely shoes with a chunky heel. The Valerie is a higher heel and the Charlie slightly lower.

I have no shoe advice, I just have dress envy, and 2 weddings this summer. Where is it from? It's lovely!

I reverse-image searched and it's from Apricot.

Thanks @HP79!

Thank you for the replies!

@UsingChangeofName thank you! :)

@mnahmnah ahh fab! I wasn't aware of this shop/brand, so I'll have a look at this...and yea, I think gold could be the way forward....

@sleepwhenidie yes! This is exactly what I was thinking....I wasn't sure whether a wedge would look ok or not, but you're right, it's more practical too for being up on your feet for a long time too. It looks like they have the 8 in a regular width but not a wide fit which is a shame. I might try the regular though and see whether it is ok or not....

@HP79 I feel like I'm not ready for this kind of thing yet! I would love to be someone who could wear something like this (colour, not style, as I do really like the style) but I'm not there yet....budget wise, it's a bit on the high side. I think if I find a pair that I like, and can see myself wearing on more occasions, then I don't mind paying a bit more, but not for a possible one time only affair...

@NyanBinaryJohn Yep, Apricot! But it's a few years old now I think.

So we think it's a "no" to tan? What about nude pink or something like that instead of gold?

I think a metallic finish would make the difference by glamming it up a bit - so if you want pink I’d go pale pink metallic rather than a matt nude.
