Hairdryer help! (For 10yo)

DD wants a hairdryer for her 10th birthday. I don’t blow dry my hair and haven’t owned a hairdryer since about 2003, so I’m clueless. She has long hair that has a gentle natural wave to it. Medium thickness. It tends to go a bit fluffy/ frizzy and can be a bit flyaway.

I don’t want to spend loads cos she’ll inevitably melt it or get bored with it. Any recommendations? There are approximately 5 billion options on Amazon/ Boots/ John Lewis. Should I get her an ionic one? Does she need a diffuser??? She’ll need something relatively light and easy to handle, but I can’t really tell which ones fit that bill from the blurbs - or should I get her a travel one??? HELP!

Babyliss are always good for a budget option. I recently bought my 12 year old a Revlon one step blow dry brush which is also an easy option - but not sure a 10 year old would handle it

I have thick hair and I use a parlux but I would say that's possibly over budget but they do last years. I'm in the market for a new hairdryer myself and will be gojng with parlux again (when I can afford to replace itBlush) I recently asked for recommendations from my hairdresser and she said to me ETI are a good brand similar and cheaper to parlux. They're about £50/60. The other thing id say to you is if your daughter is looking to blow dry her hair straight invest in a decent brush.

Thanks both!

Honestly I'd just get her something like this at £35. It's good fun & has some useful accessories!

The reviews are good!

If she wants to embrace her waves she might need one with a diffuser!

This one is a tenner!

Good review again but without all the accessories!

Let me try & find one with a diffuser!

Thank you @QueueEtwo - what website are those on? The tropical dogs might be a winner!

The first 2 where from the Boots website & the tropical dogs was actually from the Mark Hill website!

All the Mark Hill hairdryers seem to have good reviews.
