Fudge clean blonde shampoo - help!

Can anyone help! Just splashed on a big bottle of this after reading some rave reviews online. Have blonde highlights that are becoming quite yellow. Slathered it on last night and left on for five minutes recommended on the bottle. Yet my yellow hair remains, well, yellow.

So am I unrealistic to expect gorgeous silvery tones after one wash and not just purple stained hands and yellow hair?! Should I leave it on for longer?!

Any advice??

You need a toner, I get bleach branded ones that have a silver toner and always gets rid if yellow tones.

@NC4785 fanola is the best salon brand purple shampoo and it's really strong. You can get it on Amazon

@overthinkersanonnymus thank you! I had seen recommendations for that one too - should have just bought it instead!

I use fudge purple shampoo. It definitely takes the yellow out. In fact I have had almost blue/purple hair when I've left it on a tad too long 😂

I second this...I've accidentally left it on a bit long today and I look a little shade too silver. Fanola is brilliant, all my blonde friends use it too. Use it as a second wash, leave it on for maybe 5 min, condition well

@Zola1 Thank you! I’ve ordered some!

I use Fanola, I put it on my hair when it’s damp, put plenty on and leave it around fifteen minutes.
It makes a huge difference doing it this way and I only need to use it once a week. Using it as a normal shampoo didn’t really tone down the yellow.

L'Oréal purple hair mask is brilliant, only needs leaving on 5 minutes every couple of washes. Lovey ash tones.
