£150 On Running voucher

I have a voucher for On Running
Help me spend it! Even though it's a voucher I am balking at the prices of something as basic as a running vest (£50), or shorts (£100)

I run so do love running kit, but I just can't bring myself to spend that sort of money!

Their trainers - no doubt!
I have 5 pairs and would love more.

Zola1 · 11/04/2023 14:34

Trainers 1 zillion percent

countdowntonap · 11/04/2023 14:34

Or, they have some nice jackets that could also be worn as casual wear before being relegated to your running wardrobe.

eurochick · 11/04/2023 14:42

I agree the trainers are great.

TheOrigRights · 11/04/2023 14:45

The trainers are great for actual running/sport or just for day wear?
I am a competitive club runner and have my preferred running shoe already.

Yeah...maybe a jacket for walking or something.

It's not just me though, it is - that finds it hard to spend on something that is so clearly overpriced (maybe not for the shoes so much, but for the clothes).

Running. I’ve ran countless races in my CloudFlyers and would say I’m fairly competitive (best races at sub 8 miles). You could try some on at a running shop and then use your voucher to order online?

TheOrigRights · 11/04/2023 15:24

Oh I didn't know they stocked them in actual shops, I thought they were online only. That makes a big difference.
Can you tell me which shops?

I had my first pair from a cycle/running store in the midlands that sponsored my running club for a while. That was back in 2019 so imagine more specialist stores stock them now.

If it came to, I believe Sweaty Betty stock them in store.

I'm not impressed by their running shoes. They don't wear very well. They feel rather like a fashion brand rather than running. Maybe buy something you couldn't justify otherwise like some trail shoes or a jacket for the 1 time per year it's -5?

I actually bought some proper trail shoes this year as I've been doing more cross country races. My old (road) running shoes get relegated to muddy walk, gardening shoes. Ergo I have LOADS of running/sport shoes.
I'll go and try some - there is an Up and Running near me. Some for day wear would be ok.

Well I never. There is a store in Ipswich which stocks their stuff so I was able to work out which shoe size I need.
I've come home and bought a fancy pair of light racing shoes. Hoorah!

Ooo lovely. Which style? I’ve always had CloudFlyers so would be interested to hear how you find the comfort of a different model.

TheOrigRights · 16/04/2023 09:21

I got Cloudflow. Will report back 😀
