Help - comfy but nice knickers!

Please help me to find comfy pants that don't ride up, and don't give a horrendous VPL.

Had some amazing Gap ones Lacey, stretchy, high-ish waisted. Perfect fit, no ride up, no vpl but they discontinued them (bastards);

Have tried :

  • M&S bikinis - no ridding up but horrible VPL
  • M&S no vpl - no visible line but ride up so v uncomfortable
  • thongs - cut me in half
  • short style - massive wedgie
  • Brazilian style - ride up

Am I forever condemned to have a foof full of fabric if I don't want my knickers to show though? I'm a late 50s woman but not ready for the (not so) brief giant M&S briefs yet.

Please help hive mind with your recommendations

I'm a 10/12 with a fairly standard shaped bum if that makes any difference

Help!!!!

I bought the giant M&S knickers but found them really sweaty.

I have never found the knickers sold in the UK to be that comfy so I would always stock up on jockeys on trips to the US where I'm from originally. Anyway, I tried some Uniqlo socks and DD raved about their knickers so I tried some of those and they're the comfiest I've found yet.

Watching with interest. My comfiest knickers I also bought in USA - Calvin Klein lacy Brazilian/bikinis. You can get them here, but expensive. If you return to USA, look for them in outlet stores & buy in bulk!

Meant to say 'tried some Uniqlo socks that I love'

I’m 42 and wear the M and S full brief cotton ones. They’re the most comfy ones I have. I’ve got a drawer full of prettier things but they never get worn.

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 10/04/2023 08:13

I wear m&s Brazilian lace; normally on a 3 for 2; don’t find they ride up at all & they look v pretty.

Innersy on Amazon are excellent. Wirarpa (also Amazon) are also pretty good.

BoredOfThisMansWorld · 10/04/2023 08:21

Uniqlo definitely! They're quite high rise, smooth cotton with wide flat lace edges.

emituofo · 10/04/2023 08:21

White Stuff shorties, pretty, comfy and good quality!

Sloggi
British Boxers - they do ladies' ones.

ProstituteHair · 10/04/2023 08:39

You need Commando microfiber pants!

Boy-short style, full brief, no vpl.

It's all I wear. In black and nude.

Bearpawk · 10/04/2023 08:39

Op which M&S no vpl shape have you tried ?
I have graduated from bikinis to midi to high leg to full as my arse and tum has expanded. The full ones are perfect for me !

FawnFrenchieMum · 10/04/2023 08:42

I love Sainsbury’s for knickers. My bum prefers Brazilian but I’ve just got some high leg from these that sound perfect for you.

LeatherSkirt82 · 10/04/2023 09:07

I got a few from FatFace - stretchy cotton, super comfy and they was really well (I got them in several colours and prints, some with lace some without). It was a revelation for me after M&S.

LeatherSkirt82 · 10/04/2023 09:08

*they wash!

QuitRunningForThatRunawayBus · 10/04/2023 09:15

All of the high rise knickers from Uniqlo are good OP. The airism ones are the best in terms of being smooth under clothes, but the cotton ones with a lace trim are also fine if you'd prefer a natural fabric.
