What to wear

A group of us not so close friends are going to lunch in an up market restaurant in our town on the 30th of April at mid day

But I don't know wear & I'm here scratching my head

I am a size 12 but do wear 14 sometimes when I want to be free or to hide my very big belly 🤦🏾‍♀️😩🙈

Casual?

I don't wear skirts or dresses so my go to is a pair of smartish slim leg but not legging type trousers in black or navy or a prince of wales check and a plain loose silk shirt. Chelsea boots and a smart coat. Understated but unusual earrings. I feel this takes me anywhere - smart, casual or posh.

I’d say go with a dress as that way there’s no need to worry about whether or not the top goes with the bottoms. Taking it to account the weather then unless it’s really warm or hot I would go with something with long or three quarter length sleeves and a leather jacket or a blazer over the top.
