Pilates work out every day. Look on YouTube.

LadyAstor · 09/04/2023 07:56

Low carb and HIIT workout could see you lose ten pounds in two weeks.

Self tan (professional is best), then an everyday tanner to top up.

Drink lots of water.

But some clothes that skim in colours that suit you.

I’m a similar shape but short too.

For me it’s about being comfortable, so loose cotton ish dresses. And if they are flared and v neck it takes the eye away a bit from my huge stomach.

I got some from Next last year. There might be some you like in this link.

Good luck! And have fun!!

Too fat for what? Too fat to holiday? Too fat to feel comfortable?

At 14-16 you're not too fat for anything.

I'm gonna say stuff the pilates frankly - a lot of work for not much reward in the short time you have. Plus you'll just stress that the pilates leader is a size 8 and you're not - no-one needs that negative body pressure! Your lovely body is what you have and what you will take with you on holiday. It's doing the best it can and maybe a change of approach to it can help make you feel more comfortable and positive about it so that you can better enjoy your time away?

I agree with your plan of hair, nails, pedicure etc.etc. before you go. PLUS I suggest you seek out some positive images of women with a similar body shape and size to yours - check out what clothes and styles looks good on them and then invest in a new holiday wardrobe in a similar style. Also get some new sunnies and accessories. That way you'll know that you look good, and that will help you feel good so you can relax and enjoy your time off. Accentuate your (many) positives.

I hope you have a wonderful time and can enjoy your holiday with a mind clear of worry and stress. Honestly - the world is so full of people of all shapes and sizes, and many many of those people are your size and are just beautiful. Relax and enjoy your time. You are wonderful, beautiful and unique. 😍

One pieces are your friend. And there are some gorgeous beach cover ups around at the moment. I bought 2 really lovely ones from ASOS before a holiday in February.

A great spray tan works wonders too.

ittakes2 · 09/04/2023 09:05

simplybe sells very flattering clothes for your size.

Whataretheodds · 09/04/2023 09:09

DO do some exercise every day. In 2 weeks it may not make a material difference to how your clothes fit but you will FEEL so much better and that will come across in how you carry yourself.

Whereabouts are you going/what kind of holiday?
There were some lovely flowy dresses in accessorise.
M&S do fab tummy control swimsuits

FusionChefGeoff · 09/04/2023 09:15

Drink at least 3 litres of water a day
Get enough sleep
Spend time and money to buy at least two well fitted pairs of shorts / light trousers that you feel comfortable in. Nothing looks worse than squeezing into last year's clothes.

A couple of floaty tops in a colour or pattern that's really 'you'
A comfortable swim suit / high waisted bikini - Seafolly or Figleaves are excellent and do proper cup sizes.

A couple of empire line / maxi / midi dresses to wear on top of swimsuits

-Cut out sugar and drinks lots of water to get clear skin

-Intermittent fasting, HIIT and weight training to lose a few pounds (don’t overdo it - aim for 1-2 lbs per week)

-Buy a white linen top and blue denim shorts that fit well now, so that they hang a little loose when you lose a couple of pounds - to give you a more relaxed vibe.

Don’t hide in maxi dresses. You say you’ve got good legs and bum - flaunt them!

Gosh I can only dream of being as slim as you at a size 20-22! It can always be worse! But seriously what sort of clothes are you looking for?! I’ve been scouring the high street and the good news is that they pretty much all go up to your size so it should be easy to find some nice things?

Kyliealwayshadthebestdisco · 11/07/2023 01:31

PS I’m about to go on holiday too and having similar thoughts but also trying not to be too harsh to myself because honestly it’s been a very rough few years! And I need and deserve to enjoy this holiday, fat or not! I’ve decided I can worry about being fat after the holiday!
