I love the mental Balenciaga ripped jeans below for instance.

And the crazy red MSCHF Wallace and Grommit-style boots. https://www.theeditldn.com/products/mschf-big-red-boot

Cheers me up no end. Especially when they are ludicrous prices. That is the absolute best.

What’s the intention?

If it’s to tell women that fashion is stupid and they should get back to the kitchen and facilitating the lives of others - I’m out.

Those jeans are men's.

A diluted version will be available on the High Street soon.

Yes. And …?

I’m quite happy to giggle over things that seem unwearable or puzzlingly extravagant - but in any discipline experimentation necessarily deals in extremes. On the whole I think that’s to be celebrated rather than denigrated.

Also, given that in five years time every single thing we wear will have been designed by AI - we should probably treasure the final few hours and minutes of the human fashion industry.

NormaTheWife · 08/04/2023 12:42

Those jeans - some d..ass will wear those. Been attacked by wolves 😂

ImpossibleDrear · 08/04/2023 12:42

I enjoy fashion, enjoy curating my own style, and am all over these boards - cool lipsticks, fragrances you wore as a teen, laser hair removal etc. But some aspects of thr art/fashion world and late stage capitalism are just hilarious (and obviously tongue in cheek? like this https://www.balenciaga.com/en-gb/trash-bag-large-pouch--black-716897210JA1060.html) and I'm allowed to enjoy that too?

We are living in Panem and there's fun to be had.

Lawks. I had a pair of D&G jeans like that in the late 90s. Fashion is so cyclic isn’t it.

NormaTheWife · 08/04/2023 12:43

Ah the street dosser look 😂😂😂

Elieza · 08/04/2023 12:49

Makes my holes in t-shirts and jumpers (made by my cat’s claws) seem ok now!

Perhaps I will keep those clothes after all and not recycle them 🤣

Is this trend called Zombie Chic?

If not, it really should be.

Obviously, women aren't being singled out the example is menswear. You're taking this way too seriously.

I read that link as "deranged sweatshirt"!

It's so hot right now

thegrain · 08/04/2023 18:29

What's the point? So we can see what trends are going to filter down? Are holes due a comeback? I thought we'd done jeans with rips but perhaps we're extending to tops now. Quite like it.

I love them

MorehouseplantsPls · 08/04/2023 19:19

I quite like the multi coloured ones. Although the thick laces are odd.

GettingStuffed · 08/04/2023 19:23

Those are gorgeous. My ankles are probably too thick but those really are lovely.

lipikar · 08/04/2023 19:19

Those are rather nice. I could see myself wearing them if I needed to buy something comfortable in sore foot emergency on a city break in very warm weather. They wouldn't be my first choice under normal circumstances but in that sort of situation they'd be better than many alternatives.

Partyandbullshit · 08/04/2023 19:41

The bin bag bag 😂😂 The white one would 100% be used by my DC or DH as a normal bin bag and get chucked out on a Tuesday 😂

NatashaDancing · 08/04/2023 19:43

GettingStuffed · 08/04/2023 19:16

I don't see what's weird about them.

SocksAndTheCity · 08/04/2023 20:11

I like the black big bag 😊
