All day and night foundation under £15

Does such a thing exist?

My regular foundation is Boots Stay Perfect (up to 24 hours). I notice though that for me it does not last anywhere near that long. I wore it out today having put it on at 10am and by 6pm it had disappeared. I have a wedding coming up and want good coverage for a whole day and night.

Are you using primer, and setting spray?

Somethings that can help.

Primer.
Setting spray - urban decay is a good one.
Setting powder.
Apply using thin layers of foundation and build up.

Estee Lauder double wear is probably the holy grail of long wear foundation however- I am not sure how well it photographs especially with flash so maybe try that before spashing out.

You can expect to have to use blotting paper and retouch concealer/tricky spots over thar length of time.

I did forget to use Primer today but I personally don't find it makes much difference for me. I did use setting powder today and usually do.

Perhaps it's worth going somewhere to try out Estee Lauder. If it's worth it then it would be great for longer occasions.

What is blotting paper?

I usually just apply one layer of foundation. I assumed that's just what you did. I have quite large pores, wouldn't more be cakey?

Blotting paper absorbs the oils in your nose etc so you can add a touch more powder.

When I say layers I mean pump it on to the back of your hand and slowly build it up. You might be doing that already but lots of people just put a pump straight onto the brush and then end up with a thick layer that doesn't dry down so well.

Maybelline superstay last a long time and is just over a tenner.

Any Estée Lauder counter should be able to give you a small bottle or pot to try at home. I use primer under mine but no powder or setting spray and it lasts well. I put a blob on my hand then dab some on my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and blend. I usually put a second layer on my cheeks to stop any redness to coming through but that would be too much for most people. For me it goes on much better with fingers than a sponge or brush.
