wearing a bra as a top?

I have seen teens wear cropped tops/bras and make it work. What are they wearing exactly?

This is not my usual style and not something I'd wear at home. However, in hot weather abroad, I'd ideally like to not have 2 layers on (bra+top) but only if it still looks decent. I'm a size 8 and a C cup so don't need loads of support. Any suggestions for what I could wear as a bra/top, a thick material? I'd probably wear it with high waisted trousers so there isn't too much skin on show. Just want to be comfortable on holiday abroad. Any suggestions? I don't want to feel too exposed!

It’s called a “bralette”. Mine is from Free People and I love it!

I’m a similar size to you (C cup, size 6/8) and it looks fine on its own (no bra underneath), although there is a bit of side boob action with the FP one.

I’m not a teen though, I’m early 30s 😝 I wear it on holiday as well as in London on a really hot day.

Or on holiday I wear sports bras/crop tops with shorts!

They are wearing cropped tops, it's a clothing category in its own right.

Sling an open loose shirt on over the top will keep you cooler (catches the breeze) and protect from the sun. And you won't feel so exposed.

In my local town teen girls are literally just wearing standard bras and jeans (I must be getting old)

That's lovely! I am in my 30s though, no issue with anyone else wearing that but personally I think I'd like it to be a bit longer and a bit less cleavage-y (I might be a C cup but have a good going cleavage that I don't want on show as think it would make it look more like lingerie)
